Ideas behind the website function

-Break information into short sections
-Minimize the use of jargon and technical terms.

Original Idea that wanted to happen on page but didn't

For the home page, I wanted to have the image where it is on the top third to slide and move across to one image to another. Showing pictures of users from there rest homes so everyone can see and know what is happening lately.

So I have tried to show that it could happen with the two pages I have.

THe first home page is where it have the log in bar where you can go and log in. 

When you clicked 'sign in', you will go to the second home page where the user is logged in and still showing the main home page there. just changed the image to have the idea that it could be changed if it was really working.

Logos/banner and Images for Icons

Problem

When I had finished with all my pages for my web done, (apart from the logo and the name of the web banner) everything was running smoothly from page to page.

When I had started to place the images of the logo and banner on on the first two page which is home page, it was normal, but when I had continued on with rest of the web pages, and done it all. I went to preview on the web browser, there is this slight movement occurred (1-2mm). I had tried many ways to fixed it and redoing some pages too to get it fixed but it still move those few mm'ers. Coding are all the same with divs being right with opened and closed ones too. 

Home page

Having the boxes at the bottom, I had the idea of having them able to allow the user to able to click the box when there mouse is onto of any part of that box so that they dont have to move the mouse right the the text/title to click to the page.

The boxed text links to the same tabs as the top but it has descriptions where the user can no where to go. 

Name and Logo

Name of my website. Care - Netion

The idea behind this name was that this site is a caring and friendly place where you can connect with other people while learning.

So the care part is clear, meaning Care.

With the word 'connection' i had grab the ending part with nection

and than with the 'c' I had taken that out so that it will form the word 'Net' where there using the internet.

Three different words connect as a whole.

Ideas on how my logo would be with the starting two letters.

Colour idea for different pages

News Page

When starting with the news page, I didnt really looked into the colours for the background and went with the fast and get the layout working. I had used many different shades of gray to make it faster for me. After awhile, I really enjoyed the gray tone where its nice and smooth to able to read it on screen. Than I tried it to compare it with having white at background colour seems nice, but will give the eyes a less time looking at screen as it is bright.

MoodBoard

The colour pallet that I am thinking of using is a nice cool pastel or simple organic colour.

Have to be easy for the eye since colour do affect the way how they view things and see/adapt to the site.

Icons For Clicks

Looking for ideas that is simple and easy to recognize for elderly to click on if they reading takes them longer.
Having icons with the text would make it faster as Images Stands out more and faster to recognize.

While browsing though the net, I found this really interesting where big bold and bright coloured icons on the page where it links you to what it have on that page.


Having thinking with my research with other sites before hand at the start, I would like to think and incorporate big text/images that links to pages at the home page.
Having it more easy to read at the start and plus not needing to think and needing to go to small icons to press where it could be a challenge if they have eye sights problems.

For my layout for my homepage, I wanted to have the idea of not making it hard to navigate through. Having thought that big movement isn't suitable for my users since they are either started going on the computer or having slower reaction than how we teenagers/adults are with everything fast.

Layout
Really liking the idea of having big boxes where icon linking/relating to it will next or some how around it to make it easy to read.

Movement
Since the home page is going to have big boxes, When the mouse goes in or part of it, you are able to click into it. HomePage will be a one page where simple details and images are on it with linking pages to go onto.

When using the computer or laptop for webpages, we always tend to scroll pages up or down to see whats on underneath or continue on reading. This will happen when reading blogs of others, reading articles, Posting question, profiles or even on events where you need to scroll down.

I will try to make it easier where you don't need to scroll (apart from going to links where I cannot help and control) where it will be on one page. (limit the movement, BUT maybe more clicking).....

My final Idea that I really like and chose links to the events that happened around me and made me thinking more on having a service that it's not based on nowadays generation, but the older generation where technology isn't there strong point where they can discover the technology world of the internet where it can benefit them with learning and communicating with others.

Based this around the 70's-90's years of age
This age group would be still be at families home or at care home/retirement home/hospital.
Main idea I'm looking forward is to having the connection that each retirement home with there members/page able to connect with other retirement homes members <==>
Or
having members from one retirement place connect with each other and writing there own stories or explore the net world with news, events, communication with others with hobbies / groups.

Idea on this is that
-Having simple and reasonable type font and linked images for easy communication
-Simple and information that they want to know.

-Lessons on computer or subjects.

Providing informations for elderlies and or families about the care services for elder people. Having many different places you can go to instead of a limited choses.  This is shown and accomplished by having the main living idea or service they wanted in big tabs and images underneath it.

The uniqueness of this page made me really like for simple and easy click to know where other places is to have a map with locations placed on it. Having the idea on instead of going though many pages to find other linked place, it takes you right there right away to the location your in.

This is shown with many different part of information placed at section (tabs) so it is easy to find what you wanted to learn or find.
I found this site really welcoming with the bright colours and simple layout. On the top third of the page, Images are shown with it moving/changing every few seconds across with some heading at the bottom when hovering on it.

Images link to the services, things might happen in events, peaceful writing time so it relates to them

The main core purpose of this site is a social networking site which is specifically target at mothers and mothers to be. It for mums featuring original content covering topics such as celebrity gossip, parenting dilemmas (and solutions), current events, and home decorating. When going onto the site, there are big average sized rectangle boxes where the main and I guess the most popular events, join conversations, Go to Advises, See Entertainment, Groups and video links ect.
The colour contrast work to make it nice and warm to be on. The big rectangle coloured boxes Links mothers right to the conversation group/or readings.

I really like this idea at the starting page.

The image at the bottom shows the home open page where it represent and show the mothers what they have to see and in for for the service group.

 

At the bottom of the web page, showing that not only going onto this site to meet mothers around, you can still find mothers that goes on here but connect with them on other sites, and watch more, share more with others that doesn't know about this site.

There are pro and cons with this site though, some sites are being really colourful, but the others are not linking with the theme and area of design and its plain.

There isn’t a web page for this Badminton club since it’s a small hall where it is in a small community area. Having me going to this badminton club on a weekday night, made me thought that since we are a community already but nowhere to share stories, a webpage for this club would be handy. The only information you can find out about this hall / club is though other badminton websites groups.
